Evening Meals

Many of our customers like to dine at Port Appin at either Airds Hotel which is very luxurious, the Pier House which is famous for its seafood or even the Old Inn at Appin whch is famous for its steak! This is quite possible as the last ferries leave Port Appin at 8pm midweek and at 9.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays until the end of October. .

Dinner at Bachuil

If you would like to have dinner at Bachuil we are happy to do this from Sunday through to Thursday night. Please let us know 2 days in advance so that we can get to Oban to obtain the produce.

Dinner is usually served at 7.30pm in one sitting at our dining table. Where possible our meat is locally sourced; best quality Scottish beef, lamb, pork or chicken. Most of the vegetables come from the island. Eggs are from our own free range hens (provided that they haven't been frightened by the Sea Eagles!) or other farms on the island.

If you have special requirements, please let me know at the time of booking.

Picnics in Rooms

We have recently been very surprised by some guests who felt that this was a self-catering establishment and that they could help themselves to crockery from the dining room and picnic in their rooms. Obviously, we do not allow this - or bonfires, fireworks, candles or any other naked flame.
