Deposits, Cancellations and Refunds
A non-refundable deposit equivalent to one night’s accommodation is payable on making a booking. Any no show or confirmed reservation cancelled within 14 days of the arrival date will, regretfully, be charged in full unless we are able to re-let the accommodation in which case you will be refunded the value of the new booking up to the balance of the original booking less an administration fee of £50.
We will always make every effort to provide guests with the room of their choice, but must reserve the option of room allocation. Should it be necessary to alter room allocation, for any reason, we shall endeavour to provide one with at least as good as facilities. If we need to alter the room booked we will offer a refund of £20.00 per room per night.
Should a guest need to curtail the number of nights of a visit whilst at Bachuil Country House they will still be liable to pay for all the nights they booked prior to their arrival.
We do not offer a refund if a guest decides not to take breakfast.
No persons in excess of the number agreed at the time of booking are to occupy the room. Bookings are for the persons specified at the time of booking and are not transferable.
We reserve the right to terminate the visit of any person whose conduct is detrimental to the comfort of others. In such a circumstance no refunds will be paid and the guests will still be liable to pay for all the nights they booked prior to their arrival. No further financial claims (eg for alternative accommodation) will be considered.
In the unlikely event that we have to cancel the reservation due to circumstances beyond our control, we will provide a full refund of monies paid. No further financial claims will be considered.
Please ensure that you have your own travel insurance as we do not provide this.
Arrivals and Departures
Bookings commence between 3.00 and 6.00 p.m. on the day of arrival. If you anticipate arriving outside these hours then please let us know - we are normally able to help you. Unless otherwise arranged then guests should be ready to leave their rooms by 10.00 a.m.
You are very much staying in our home. Whilst we understand that you have booked accommodation with us we must point out that we are not an hotel and as a Bed and Breakfast we generally expect our guests to be out and about during the day.
Bachuil is a Non-Smoking House. All bedrooms and the Guest Drawing Room and Dining Room are non-smoking. Any bedrooms suffering from residual tobacco odours will be specially cleaned and aired over a 24-hour period and all charges resulting from this, both actual and loss of business (at our prevailing room rates) will be charged to the credit card given to secure the booking.
Guests may smoke outside where ashtrays are provided.
Damage and Liabilities
Please take care with our accommodation. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant, and we may make an additional charge of £50 if you did not report this.
No liability shall be accepted by us for loss, damage or theft of personal property, belonging to guests, either in the property or in/to cars, bicycles or other vehicles left on the property. Nor shall liability be accepted by the owners for accident or injury to guests, either within the property or outside.
Please do inform us as soon as possible if you have a complaint with your accommodation or if you find that anything is faulty within the accommodation that needs our attention. We will do our best to rectify any problems as quickly as possible.
Reasonable cleaning is anticipated but guests who foul the room, bed or sheets will be charged an amount to rectify the situation and the full cost of the room whilst it is out of commission at our maximum daily rate.
